Glen’s focus within SLSGB is lifesaving. He joined at 16 years old and remains qualified as a surf lifeguard, IRB crew & driver, water event safety manager and a swift water rescue technician.

Jan Shepherd

Born in Surrey and moving to Cornwall at 14 years old, Jan’s family took on running a hotel on the beach at Porthtowan.  As a competent swimmer already, Jan totally immersed herself in the lifesaving activities of the club on her doorstep gaining her surf bronze at the age of 16

I live in St. Agnes with my wife and 2 children. We’re all active members of our local Surf Life Saving Club, with both our kids on the Nippers pathway. I’m consistently amazed by the passion and dedication of all the volunteers involved.

Ashley Mann

As an active member and coach at NSLSC and the Manager of GB Lifesaving team, Ashley is keen to develop SLS and SLS high performance as a sport and believes in giving back to the community and clubs that have provided him with opportunities.
