As part of our commitment to ensuring high standards are maintained it is important that our ‘Educators’ stay up to date and retain a valid award. The frequency and way in which this is done varies depending on the specific award as outlined below.

Level 1 Coaches, Level 2 Coaches & Trainer Assessors

To maintain a valid award Continual Professional Development (CPD) must be submitted on a bi-annual basis. In addition, Trainer Assessors and Coaches are required to attend a CPD update (when applicable).

Those involved in the delivery of resuscitation training

For those involved in the delivery of resuscitation training our Clinical Advisory Committee have determined that competency must be evidenced by a hands-on chest demonstration. SLSGB Clubs hold a duty of care to deliver resuscitation training and CPD “in club” to all their members. It is recommended that CPD training should be undertaken every 3 months and the pass test achievement required is 75%. Training for all those holding an SLSGB award that incudes resuscitation should be regularly tested using a Little Anne QCPR or similar equipment.
