The Nipper Lifesaver Pathway is an exciting interactive programme based on age group club activity. It is full of lifesaving knowledge and skills that allows a child to gain confidence and regular recognition for their achievements. Most important of all, it is the first step to becoming a competent Lifesaver.
The Pathway follows the Physical Education National Curriculum Coaching Guidelines to ensure that at each age group stage it is fit for purpose for important lifesaving and sport elements.
Nippers and parents will have a complete record of their Lifesaving progress and achievements in the Nipper Lifesaver Pathway Logbook. Each stage is split into three levels of achievement with regular opportunities for Nippers to be recognised and rewarded for their progress and achievements;
The Knowledge Awards cover key safety points that a child needs to know at each stage of progression through the Nipper Lifesaver Pathway
The Ocean Star Awards and Pin Badge recognise a child’s in the water abilities and skills on the journey to become a competent Lifesaver and are evidence of competency to compete in their age group at all SLSGB events (Commencing 2019 season)
