Club Management – Want to know more?
SLSGB are inviting all Club Chairs, Secretaries, Trustee’s, Safety Officers, Lifeguards and Trainer Assessors to learn more about club management.
This will be a 2 hour short, sharp overview intended to provide a first sight of important new programmes for 2017 and insight into the key club management issues –nobody will leave as an expert but all should know enough to go home with a to do list. The short sessions will cover the following topics:
An introduction to our New 2017 Lifeguard Beach Patrolling Programme
Declared to the coast guard agency.
Framework with 5 levels – level 1 and 2 accessible to all clubs
New Casualty First Aid Guide: “on the scene check card system”
Guidance Workshop on Club Structure
Limiting liability for officers and members
Charitable status explained
The impact on voluntary organisations of recent changes to HSE policies
Adopting the required policies to meet good governance
What is covered by SLSGB and conditions for compliance?
What other cover you should consider
There will be 2 sessions, one for the South East at Exeter and one for the South West in Cornwall so you can chose the best time and location to suit your and your club officers. For those in the Central and Northern Counties, if there is sufficient demand a session will be organised for you in February but you must let us know before the 16th January so that if the demand is not enough you still have time to come to either Exeter or Cornwall.
