The second education roadshow of 2016 took place in Eastbourne at the start of this month. It was an action packed four days with a Level 1 and 2 Coaching course, 2 Trainer Assessor updates, and a Lifeguard assessment. On top of this as an additional bonus was the opportunity to meet so many club members from this region and to have the chance to listen to their needs so that we can plan to support everyone. The standard of coaching is very high in this region and we were impressed once again by the commitment shown by Surf Life Saving Club volunteers, we came away from the region with an outline of how to make the East self-sustainable in terms of delivery of SLSGB coaching awards with the confidence that quality of delivery and standards of professionalism will remain high. Feedback from the two roadshows that have taken place so far has been very positive, especially as the regions are able to design their own roadshow to meet the needs of the clubs and members within.
