All events are based on the skills required by lifesavers and lifeguards and the equipment used by them in carrying out their duty. It provides one of the most exciting, colourful and eco-friendly sporting activities that you could wish to see, while providing our members with a fun and adrenaline-fuelled way of building on their lifesaving skills.
Life Saving Sport is organised at several different levels to suit the individual:
Nipper - 7-13 years Youth - 12 - 19 years Open - 16 years up Master - 30 years up
From local club events, to regional and National Championships, there are many opportunities to get involved.
At the highest level, we select the best lifesavers to represent Great Britain at the World and European Championships as well as other International events, and we are proud to boast former and current World and European Champions.
A Sport Commission, which is responsible for event programmes, competition rules and the development of sport at all levels, meets three times a year to review and set strategic plans.
