Systems Development vacancy at SLSGB

As a result of exciting new developments we have a volunteer opportunity to work in systems development at SLSGB.

The successful candidate will have web-based skills and will be required for up to 10 hours a week; in return you will receive mentoring and training from the project manager.

We are looking for a long-term commitment in view of the training given. The work will be undertaken from your home, with occasional travel to the Exeter office.

SLSGB has invested in the successful MIS system we now use for developing our membership services and our awards and events, and this role will play a key part in future developments of the MIS.

You must have knowledge and experience of databases and web development, using  HTML, PHP and  Javascript. If you have experience of using the SalesForce system that would be a key advantage, but training will be given to the right person.

You will work with SLSGB staff, advising them of changes and improvements to the service, making suggestions, responding to their request for changes, help and advice, and also training them when new modules are added or changes made.

If you are interested in this role, please contact recruitment@slsgb.org.uk, by 10am Tuesday 14 February, with details of your experience and qualifications and why you think you are suitable. Interviews will take place in the week beginning 20 February 2012.
