Safety paramount for SLSGB British Life Saving Sport Surf Championships

We are delighted to confirm that all competitors at this year’s British Life Saving Sport Surf Championships will be provided with a specially designed safety rash vest. As an organisation that aims to make people fitter and safer by the sea, the safety of competitors is of paramount importance. This new move is in line with International Life Saving guidelines, following the tragic death of a 14 year old at the Australian nationals earlier this year.

To ensure safety of all competitors, these rash vests are obligatory in all races. Surf Life Saving GB has worked hard to keep entry fees the same as last year, with a slight increase in price to include the cost of the rash vest. We hope all members and competitors appreciate this important change.

Open £5 per event (plus a one-off purchase of the £6 for rash vest)
All team/pairs events £10.25 (plus a one off £6 for rash vest, if not already purchased as an individual participant)

Rash vests may be used in subsequent years, so you will not be asked to make another purchase.
