Calling all SLSGB Club Patrols

With summer already underway and floods of tourists making their way to our beaches, it is important to ensure that your club has registered as an Accredited SLSGB Club Patrol. We have developed some great resources to support you setting up. With advice on maintaining important expectations and standards, to ensure that your club is working to allow suitable and sufficient service for the public to enjoy safe use of the beach and water.

Why become an SLSGB Club Patrol?

There are many benefits to becoming an Accredited SLSGB Club Patrol. Your club will be part of a national network of voluntary patrols operating a safe and professional service that will be recognised by SLSGB for meeting national standards for patrolling. With this recognition, the patrol can use the SLSGB brand, its resources and publications, all which have been already developed and easily available and ready to use. Also, clubs will be given support to further develop as an actively patrolling club and value their worth as an asset to the community.

Another bonus of becoming an SLSGB Club Patrol is that through adhering to SLSGB’s policies and procedures, patrolling clubs will have a level of insurance cover through SLSGB. For more information on insurance contact Katie Middleton or our insurance broker directly at ian.braid@wwsi.org.uk.
