First ever International IRB Challenge!

The first ever International IRB Challenge event will be held alongside the British IRB Championships at Boscombe Beach, Bournemouth on 30 September, teams will be from GB, England, Wales, Devon, Cornwall and Wessex.  Teams will be selected from managers based on results from the GB IRB Champs, English and Welsh Championships.  Members must enter the English and GB Championships to be selected.  The development event is to promote IRB Sport leading up to this year’s World IRB championships, as part of Rescue 2012.

Our sponsor, Arancia Inflatables Ltd have supplied a trophy and a new Arancia 388 which will be awarded to one of the International Teams who enter as a prize draw.

The event will run to standard ILS/ILSE IRB rules and will comprise a maximum team of 12 allowing for three Rescue, three Tube Rescue, three Mass Rescue teams, two Teams Rescue teams and one Rescue Relay team, which will be the final event and comprise each of the other events run back to back. In addition to the gender neutral patient rule, mixed male/female teams are permitted.
