Lifesaver Relay rule changeFollowing the last meeting of the Sports Commission (Referees & Officials Meeting) concerns were raised over the running order of the new Lifesaver Relay. The feedback from the clubs was regarding the movement of water over the manikin on both the fin and swim leg. The manikin could move, which could make the pickup difficult and could also put the competitor into the next lane, which would mean disqualification. To prevent this from happening the running order has been changed:From:1. Swimmer with fins2. Swimmer no fins3. Manikin Carry no fins4. Manikin Carry with fins
To:1. Manikin Carry no fins2. Manikin Carry with fins3. Swimmer no fins4. Swimmer with fins
This will now be amended in the rule book which will be available on the SLSGB web site very soon.
