Lifesaver Relay rule change

Following the last meeting of the Sports Commission (Referees & Officials Meeting) concerns were raised over the running order of the new Lifesaver Relay. The feedback from the clubs was regarding the movement of water over the manikin on both the fin and swim leg. The manikin could move, which could make the pickup difficult and could also put the competitor into the next lane, which would mean disqualification. To prevent this from happening the running order has been changed:
From:
1. Swimmer with fins
2. Swimmer no fins
3. Manikin Carry no fins
4. Manikin Carry with fins

To:
1. Manikin Carry no fins
2. Manikin Carry with fins
3. Swimmer no fins
4. Swimmer with fins

This will now be amended in the rule book which will be available on the SLSGB web site very soon.
