Level 1 coaching courses announced

Over the coming months, there are a series of Level 1 coaching courses running in Cornwall and Devon. The Level 1 coaching course is aimed at those wishing to start on the path to becoming an SLSGB Coach, with Level 1 coaches expected to work with more qualified coaches delivering aspects of coaching sessions. 

The Level 1 course is invaluable as not only does the course cover technical aspects of coaching, it also teaches basic surf lifesaving skills (beach, surf swim, paddleboard and ski paddling). Good practice and safety aspects of coaching are also covered. The course combines theory with practical activities, although it does not require candidates to enter the water at this level.

Candidates must be 16 years or older. Course fees are £130.
The dates are as follows:

10/11 March, Saunton Sands – Funding available for Devon residents 
17/18 March, Polzeath
24/25 March, Bude – Funding available for Cornwall residents
20/21 April, Torbay
28/29 April, Croyde – No funding available
