Need a facilities grant of £20,000-£50,000?

As part of the countdown to London 2012, Sport England hope to ‘touch and reach’ as many communities across England as possible and to connect them to the Olympics, to create a lasting legacy through the development of sport facilities, as part of the Inspired Facilities funding rounds.

‘Inspired Facilities’ will award grants to community and voluntary sector projects ranging from £20,000 to £50,000 for: upgrades and improvements to existing facilities; works to bring non sports buildings into sporting use; indoor lighting and flooring; outdoor floodlights; non-personal sports equipment; items that will help to reduce running costs like rain harvesting and solar panels, as well as social areas and car parks.

Make a case for your Surf Life Saving Club!

Put off by the horrid application process? Don’t fret, Sport England have made an easier way to apply for facilities funding by literally providing you with a catalogue of approved contractor services, so there’s no need to find out these costs for yourself. They’ve also made the whole application process online and have dedicated support available on the phone to ‘hold your hand’ through the process. It really is one of the more simple funding applications you’ll come across!

Applications for Round Two close on Monday 2nd April 2012 at 5pm, so don’t leave it until the last minute to apply. Round Three runs from 23rd July 2012 to 17 September 2012 and there will be a forth round of funding available in 2013.
