Hayle SLSC awarded £10k grant

Congratulations to Hayle SLSC who have had a great start to 2012 with the news that they have been awarded a grant of £10,000 from Sport England’s Small Grants Programme. The grant will fund their new project ‘Hayle Young Adults into Surf Life Saving’, which aims to increase the number of 16-19 year olds given the opportunity to participate in Surf Life Saving.

Hayle SLSC hope the grant will increase the club’s senior section by providing taster sessions and Beach Lifeguard support awards.  Alongside the education opportunities for young people, the grant will enable the club to buy new equipment such as paddle boards, surf skis, paddles, buoyancy aids, cagoules, with the aim of targeting 80 beneficiaries during the year.
