Skydivers raise £1000 for SLSGB

Last month, SLSGB staff members Leanne Martlew and Abi Leighton-Boyce took a leap of faith for the charity and jumped out of a plane at 13,000 feet.Abi and Leanne nervous

Raising £1000 between them, the girls almost had their jump aborted because of high winds. Thankfully, they took off late in the day, determined not to scream and with warm hearts knowing the churning stomachs were doing a good cause.

Leanne, lead centre development officer said: “I closed my eyes coming out of the plane but within seconds you think you’re floating. As we flew through the clouds it was the first time I realised how high up I was, but it was the most exhilarating thing I have ever done and I would do it all again for SLSGB.”
