Surf Life Saving GB is working with the Cornwall based charity Ronnie Richards Memorial Fund, to place public access automatic defibrillators (PADs) at club locations and has a training and assessment programme to support the use of Automated External Defibrillators to individuals, lifesaving clubs and other groups. A charity of over 5,000 volunteers dedicated to saving lives, SLSGB aims to work in conjunction with the Ronnie Richards Memorial Fund and others in providing cover to sites which are hard to reach, such as beaches and coves where Surf Life Saving Clubs are located. Esther Pearson, Chief Executive Officer said “we wish to express our support and thanks to the Ronnie Richards Memorial Fund as they promote Public Access Defibrillator sites and hope the public will support them as they support individual communities as well as Surf Life Saving Clubs."
