Insurance & Safeguarding

Insurance

Surf Life Saving GB membership includes liability & personal accident cover. Below is an outline of this cover:

Public Liability - £5,000,000 any one occurrence
All members are covered when involved in all activities undertaken which are organised, recognised and under the permission of Surf Life Saving Great Britain or Surf Life Saving Great Britain's affiliated clubs.

Officials, Trainers, Coaches and Assessors need to be registered with Surf Life Saving Great Britain. Coaches, Club Officers, Trainers and Assessors are also covered for professional indemnity (Professional Indemnity - £5,000,000 in the aggregate).

All Officials, Trainers, Coaches, Assessors and other individuals with a specific ‘role' must receive the relevant safeguarding checks & be insured with adequate liability cover.

Our Safeguarding Officer Poster is an excellent way of communicating to younger members of your club who they should contact if they have any concerns. Please click on the poster to download a copy. You can display this poster at a child friendly height in your club house.
