The new season means new requests for Clubs to provide water safety cover at events such as open water swimming competitions and triathlons. But please take care! – Recently the Health & Safety Executive have given notice that persons providing such services at sport events must be competent in their role. (Take this to mean to a professional standard) A much closer scrutiny of incidents when things go wrong will now be applied so make sure that you are following the best practice available – The SLSGB Water Event Safety Manager
The course is designed for Land Owners, Local Authorities, Safety Managers as well as Club and Regional Officers.
The Water Event Safety Manager is The only course that provides all the information and operational considerations to set up and manage event water safety. It includes how to undertake risk assessments, how to recruit, deploy and manage a team, risk management, emergency procedures, medical considerations, safeguarding and operational management and emergency policy that is now in line with new UK ER service protocol. The course is two days long with up to 50 hours of mentoring post course.
The question is; are you safe? Is your team safe? Can you provide the audit of evidence to prove this? If not then contact us for help.
