Educator Updating – A Big Thanks!
We would like to say a big thank you to all of those that attended the TA Trainer CPR Workshop on Saturday 20th February. 11 of our members attended the day delivered by Adey Mayhew and Lauren Turner as well as submitting and being assessed on their CPD requirements. These individuals are now qualified to deliver the new Educator Updates for 2016 regionally. The day involved a variety of practical workshops including AED, i-gel, oxygen and suction and use of the ‘all singing, all dancing’ CPR manikins, which soon added a competitive element into the day with everyone wanting to see who delivered the most effective CPR….We won’t say who did the best! The day was valuable and full of informative discussions and questions, including a short skype call with our medical advisor Paddy Morgan.
These Trainers will now be working in conjunction with SLSGB and the Education Roadshows (dates to be released soon) to help update Trainer Assessors that are expiring this year, alongside the submission of CPD.
Remember….We still need your CPD
Many thanks to all of those TAs and Coaches who have now submitted evidence of CPD, however we still have a lot of outstanding CPD submissions. Please can you ensure that you have submitted your CPD self-declaration and CPD form by the 31st March 2016. We will be reviewing the first batch of submitted CPD at the end of March. Please remember that you will not be able to attend an Educator Update (which is compulsory for all TAs to maintain validity of their awards) unless you have successfully submitted evidence of CPD. If you have not met the CPD requirements or need support in doing so please contact us to let us know this, so that we can support you in your development
